Digital Movie Making

Computer Whiz Kids has taken computer education to a new level with the introduction of the Whiz Kids Digital Filmmakers. This new initiative sponsored by Verizon, Providence Public Library, and a grant from the ADDD Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation provides 7th-9th graders with an introduction to the world of digital video production.

During this weekly series students are exposed to the digital filmmaking process, from using a digital video camera to editing with iMovie. The students then produce, direct and star in a short digital movie.
Stay tuned for more information on upcoming Digital Filmmaking courses throughout Providence!
